Drywall Taping

Drywall Taping

Because it conceals the seams and joints, taping is one of the most crucial aspects of any drywalling project. If you choose to seal the seams using joint compound instead of drywall tape, the harsh fact is that the seams become evident once the compound has dried.

The drywall in residential and commercial buildings is expected to be flawless, with no cracks or defects. With the help of Expert Drywall Vancouver, you can obtain perfect-looking walls and ceilings. Call our team today to learn more about our professional

Drywall Taping: Our Process

Our taping drywall ceiling services include but are not limited to finishing entire basements, complete residential houses, apartments, and commercial locations. Condominiums, hotels, schools, rehabilitation centers, office buildings, dancing studios, plazas, shops, and other businesses are frequently included.

1. Prefilling Gaps

We cut off any broken or disintegrating parts of the drywall before integrating the setting compound, then peel any fragments of paper remaining around the edges. This will render the pre filling gaps with setting compound smoother from top to bottom.

2. Applying First Coat

Next, we apply a heavyweight, all-purpose compound for the primary coat, which is sturdier than lightweight or other compounds.

3. Submerging The Tape

The most critical component of the drywall procedure is embedding the tape. Some people believe that sanding and finishing coats are the most critical steps. However, we begin by properly embedding the tape in the joint compound, establishing a solid foundation.

4. Pressing The Paper Tape

The end of the paper tape is held in place by lightly pressing it into the compound. We don't want to put too much strain on the compound. Since we believe that doing so could cause bubbles to form, causing too much chemical to be squeezed out.

5. Cutting Excess Tape

With our taping cutting materials, we cut the tape at the latter part of the seam and press the blade's edge into the compound. We next pull the tape throughout the blade, crisply ripping it.

6. Taping The Corners and Applying More Coats

Lastly, we tape the inside and outside corners and apply two more compound applications to the surface. The final two coats are used to cover the tape. If your initial final layer doesn't cover the tape, apply more coatings, but keep them thin.
